Our mission: "We exist to make Jesus known by meeting people where they are."
Our Vision for the church: "Creating Community, Inspiring Purpose, and Transforming Lives."
Georgetown’s First Assembly of God was founded in 1941 as a beacon of hope to this city and beyond. The original church building was located on the site of the current parking lot across Duke Street from the present sanctuary. Through the years, the congregation stretched their faith to acquire additional property and buildings to accommodate growth and continue reaching more people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our methods and programs have changed through the years, but the message remains relevant: Jesus is the only hope for this world, and there is no other way unto salvation. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
